| The Mosquito Coil |
This was a very necessary accessory in my 'provisions pack' when returning to boarding school. This great chinese invention was (and probably still is) very popular in most homes in Africa and Asia. The mosquito coil guaranteed a semi pleasant night sleep and 'amnesty' from the probosis of the blood sucking and malaria causing insect.

Many unsuspecting school kids (I only came across this when I went to boarding school) woke up with a bizarre 'high'. I think it was purported to be a carcinogen *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI remember the bleedin' thing broke to pieces when you took it out of its pack. Naija 'quitoes just got used to the 'green' smoke!
