Olajumoke The Bread Seller: A Cautionary Tale of Talent, Trust, Exploitation and Betrayal

The story of Olajumoke the Bread Seller is a cautionary tale for anyone managing or nurturing talent. Discovered by T.Y. Bello and supported Azuka, she was set on a promising path to success. Unfortunately, she was later misled by another individual, Victoria, who convinced her to sign a contract she couldn’t fully understand. Being uneducated and unable to read English, Jumoke was scammed and ultimately lost her footing.

FULL STORY IN VIDEO

To parents, guardians, and those managing talent: be vigilant during those early stages of growth. Surround your talent with trusted advisors and thoroughly vet any contracts or offers before signing. The wrong connections can derail promising careers.

  1. She was greedy too. She should have stayed with Azuka and grow organically. Anyway I’m sure she has learnt her lessons now and we hope she won’t let village people talk her into taking back that her baby daddy because he was the main issue she had. He insulted her helpers and made life difficult for her.
